Spinning Plates
I made this series to illustrate a process, one of preparing to spin plates, spinning them, watching them crash, and being in the aftermath. This mirrors my active life as an artist, both in my physical labor, and the emotional terrain of realizing my ideas.
In creating this sequence, I wanted to express that spinning the plates is not the goal, and that the crashing of plates is not an end. This process of finding a catalyst, the start and inspiration, followed by an explosion and dissemination of parts is just how it is.
